Thomas Was Alone 9+

Thomas was alone is one of the greatest games ever made in my opinion with everything from its clever level design, witty and meaningful narration to its fantastic story that no game has come close to matching on this platform. The characters are beyond anything I have ever witnessed before and I became so emotionally invested in them that I started to know what the narrator would say just based on who he was talking about. The only small gripes I have are the control scheme is a little fiddly as the buttons are quite close together and it becomes less investing near the end. The control problem is fixed on the console and PC version so I would recommend it on those but if you would prefer to be able to play it anywhere then Thomas was alone is a fantastic buy that you won't regret. Easily the best game on the AppStore and pretty cheap for what you will get out of it.

First, I would like to say that people who are complaining about the controls either have a faulty phone or are really bad at games, because I had no problems with the controls. I thought this game suited the mobile platform way better as you can pick and play it any time you want. The gameplay is simple yet challenging and at times you really had to think, the "main" feature of this game is the fact that the narrator can add such deep and lovable (or hate able) characters to squares. It was amazing that I would start to feel sorry for a bunch of squares and at times I would move the characters in a way that would fit their personas. The soundtrack is very nice, it creates an amazing atmosphere and feel to the levels. Overall I loved the game but the hype which the game had was bit much, yes it was really good but not mind blowing especially with the gameplay, also it was just a tad bit short. I had a great time while playing, 4/5.

Thomas was alone is a charming adventure game with a phenomenal soundtrack and beautiful story telling that keeps you immersed in it's simple yet suitably taxing puzzles whilst leading you to truly care about the fate of it's right angled protagonists.
I suppose if I were to gripe it would be of the controls being slightly frustrating on occasion especially when changing between multiple characters, however, to be honest the game is so utterly immersive I rarely noticed.
A fantastic mix of a great story narrated beautifully and with great humour, enjoyable puzzles accompanied by a searing soundtrack to set the mood and all with a just a set of charming quadrilaterals.
