Life was born in darkness. When the first flame appeared, light and shadows merged and gave birth to mankind. This is where the story begins.
Every living creature has a spark inside of them that was a part of the first flame. The Cradle of Flame - the source of flame - is hidden from most of people, who don't know where it is.
Nevertheless, humans conquered most of the world, built their cities, and prospered, worshiping the flames as the givers of life. The era of man lasted until the first flame began to fade, and the sparks in every living creature started to die out.

Faded flame opens the road to darkness that swallows every living thing. Creatures possessed by darkness turn into walking dead, always hungry, and ready to destroy anything with the spark of life.
The flame is weakening, so the world is rapidly turning into a kingdom of infinite darkness…
